A Chatty Catch-Up | June 2019

Holy smokes this post is up super late, isn’t it? I’ve been incredibly busy over the past couple of weeks with a lot of home admin bits to do, so I haven’t really had time to sit down and write or take photos πŸ™

Anyway, despite that we’re now into the 3rd week of July, here’s my June round-up!

Food:

This month has been pretty amazing for food! I headed to London to have afternoon tea with my best friend, Charlie. We went to Whittard of Chelsea and you can check out my post all about it!

My parents also came to Brighton for a weekend at the end of June, so we went out for lunch at the Trading Post. I had the most amazing butternut squash and falafel roll <3 I absolutely love it in there, it’s super cosy and relaxed and the food is always incredible!!

In the evening, we decided to head to Bella Italia in North Street. I went for the half-moon pizza with roast chicken, olives, garlic mushrooms, mozzarella and a tomato sauce base!

I also found my new favourite drink ever; the strawberry lemonade!! It’s so super sweet but I absolutely love it πŸ™‚

Purchases:

I’ve probably bought more than I should have this month; including this amazing black jersey dress from H&M. I got it in the London store and love it, in fact, my lovely friend Charlie popped back to get me another one!! It was Β£12.99 and it’s so soft and comfy, I love wearing it with trainers for a more casual look πŸ™‚

I also bought this Dark Arts jumper from Primark, it’s just a shame the weather’s been too nice to wear it!! I got it in a medium so I could have it a little bit slouchy πŸ™‚

I also treated my parents to a round of crazy golf! In an unprecedented turn of events, I came last and my mum won!! 😲😲😲😲😲

Blogging:

Blogging has taken a massive back seat at the moment as it’s been manic at home. I forgot to do the car insurance renewal until the last moment, we took the car for its MOT, I had to prepare for interview and write a presentation (I didn’t get the job though), oh and our dishwasher broke down so we had to get everything out of the cupboards, which means the kitchen is looking and feeling pretty chaotic right now (I absolutely hate living in chaos). So, apart from a few posts that I had to get up because I was working with brands, I’ve not really written much recently. I did enjoy heading to the beach for my Boots summer look book though!!

Home and garden:

J and I got loads of plants recently so it’s been really fun to be able to plant them in the garden!! The flowerbed is right outside our bedroom window so it’s going to be lovely when they start to flower!! We’d moved some of our lawn into the flowerbed as we were going to re-use it but we decided not to in the end, hence why there’s loads of grass in the flowerbed!

I’m loving watching my little anemone plant grow, they’re my favourite flowers!!

Finally, don’t forget to check out my amazing June advertiser:

Kathleen Natural is a premium skin care brand, based in the UK, who have a passion for all things natural and organic.

They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils on my blog πŸ™‚

They’re also on Twitter and Instagram as well 🌸🌸🌸

  1. That half moon pizza looks delicious! I really must visit Brighton at some point, it’s been on my list since Sugar Rush was on TV lol. That black dress looks great on you and I like how you’ve paired it casually with trainers – great idea. I’m never too sure how to dress down black dresses. Love the Dark Arts jumper too, it’s been ages since I popped into Primark.

  2. Ahh that dress looks lovely on you! It sounds like you had a great June, that pizza looks amazing and I totally agree with you about strawberry lemonade – delicious but can’t have it too often! I love the Dark Arts jumper!
