A Chatty Catch-Up | July 2019

Well there goes July 😬😬 We’re now thoroughly into August and it’s my birthday month. Woo!! I’ll be 35 so let’s mention that as little as possible πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Anyway, we’re not here to talk about August, we’re here to talk about July so, here’s what I got up to!!

Food:

I had a lovely evening out with my friend, Sammy. We went to Bus Stop in Brighton (North Road) and it was amazing!! I went for the 3 piece Bajun chicken with a macaroni pie side!! We had such a lovely catch up and, because we love being little old ladies, I was back home and in pyjamas before 8pm πŸ˜€

I also had some slaw with mine and ate Sammy’s corn on the cob (who had gone for a quarter of Jerk chicken with macaroni pie too). Oh and we shared some spicy fries too πŸ˜€

Purchases:

Mum, if you’re reading this post, LOOK AWAY NOW!!

I got another tattoo to celebrate turning 35 in August!! I went to see the incredibly talented Jose (lemat.tattoos) at Heartbreaker Tattoo in Brighton πŸ–€πŸ–€

I also got this dark and twisty sticker pack from Dorkface!! It was the bite me sticker that won me over but I have no idea where I’m actually going to put them lol

I also bought a cute little lacy bralette from ASOS. I originally bought a 12 and a 10 to try but they were both a little too big so I ended up sending them back and swapping them for an 8!! Thankfully it fitted perfectly and I think it looks super cute πŸ˜€ I won’t actually wear it as a top, but will wear it underneath strappy tops πŸ™‚

Blogging:

Rachael and I had an amazing time this month doing an escape room!! I was positively rubbish but we had so much fun πŸ˜€ If you want to see how we got on, I wrote a review post on it!

I was also meant to go to a Kiss event at Brighton Marina to check out their new summer range, but unfortunately I wasn’t feeling too good so I ended up having to miss it πŸ™ However, as I wasn’t able to make it, the amazing team at Alex Silver PR sent me a little parcel filled with a selection of their new nails and lashes πŸ™‚ Thank you so much πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

I also had a couple of days off near the end of June so I thought I’d be productive and actually take some blog photos of some products I was sent ages ago so I can actually get the reviews up soon!!

The best of the rest:

I was very kindly contacted by Frankie at Infinity Nails who offered to give me a lovely gel mani πŸ™‚ I went for a gorgeous subtle pink colour (as I was going for a job interview that I didn’t end up getting. I knew I should have picked a brighter shade lol). She’s super lovely, so if you’re looking for somewhere in Brighton for gel nails, I’d definitely recommend her πŸ™‚

Finally, don’t forget to check out my amazing July advertisers:

They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils on my blog πŸ™‚

They’re also on Twitter and Instagram as well 🌸🌸🌸

Kimmy (Chimmyville) is an amazing lifestyle blogger from the UK who chats about things to do in her local area, food reviews, DIY crafts plus a lot of geeky things too (she’s a massive Buffy fan like me) πŸ–€πŸ–€ She also has Twitter and Instagram πŸ™‚

  2. Ooh happy birthday month! The macaroni pie in the first picture made me drool, I’m visiting Brighton at the end of the month so will be sure to check out Bus Stop for a bite to eat. Becca x
