A Chatty Catch-Up | December 2019

As usual, I’m massively late with my round up! I do have a fab excuse though, J and I discovered that our entire house has started going mouldy, so we’ve been cleaning ALL the things, washing the walls and ceilings, plus installing a ventilation system into the roof space! It’s been taking absolutely ages and we’re not really even halfway through yet πŸ™

Here’s what else I got up to last month:

Food:

The only time I went out for food last month was to Curry Leaf Cafe to try out their lunch menu (gifted meal)! There’s a full review up on the blog if you want to check it out πŸ˜€

I also had an amazing Christmas dinner that J and I cooked together but didn’t take any photos of it!!

Purchases:

I managed not to buy anything last month, well apart from getting myself this gorgeous silver ring from Regal Rose in the sale!! I got a little bit of money for Christmas so I treated myself as J and I don’t tend to buy each other any gifts. It has a black stone in the middle and clear stones next to it πŸ™‚ Isn’t it beautiful?

Blogging:

I got this amazing package from Pixi Beauty which is from their 20 years of Glow collection!! It contained (from L – R):

Rose ceramide cream (an intensive moisturiser), Glow Tonic (their famous exfoliating toner), Glow Mist (a nourishing face mist), Eye Reflection Shadow palette, Endless Silky Eye Pen (a waterproof eye pencil), MatteLast Liquid lipstick (in the shade Berry Beauty) and their Lip Lift Max (a glossy lip plumper)!! I can’t wait to try everything out and let you know my thoughts on it all πŸ™‚

I was also sent this lovely winter care package from Dermalogica which included; their Nightly Lip Treatment, Barrier Defence Booster, Intensive Moisture Cleanser, Precleanse Balm, Intensive Moisture Balance (handy as I’ve just run out) and a couple of tubes of their Rapid Reveal Peel!!

Home and garden:

Like I said at the beginning of the post, we’ve been doing a lot of renovation over the Christmas and New Year period. Not only did we install a ventilation system, we’re also building a wall upstairs to keep the damp and mould out!

First we knocked off all the render from the wall to take it back to brick.

Then we started building the wall!! It’s been a massive project and we’re not even nearly finished yet!

The best of the rest:

Well, I went for a job interview in December and I only went and got the job!! At the end of January, I’ll be leaving the hospital and moving into HR at one of the universities in Brighton!! I honestly can’t wait and I’m really looking forward to the new challenge πŸ™‚

Finally, don’t forget to check out my amazing advertiser:

They have an incredible range of products and I’ve reviewed the Illuminating Serum, the Sonic Facial Cleanser and their brand new shower gels and body oils on my blog πŸ™‚ They’re also on Twitter and Instagram as well 🌸🌸🌸
