A Chatty Catch-Up | April 2019

Well, what a weird month that was! We had some lovely sunshine over a glorious bank holiday, then we had high winds. We also found out that J has severe sleep apnoeaย

Food:

I didn’t go out for food at all this month, although I did discover Asda whey protein last week and the chocolate one tastes bloody amazing!! I blend mine with milk because apparently it tastes grim with water.

Purchases:

I bought a few new pins this month, although the only one I’ve received so far is already my new favourite; the Flynn Rider Tangled pin from Blue Lemon Inc to go with the Rapunzel pin I already have ๐Ÿ™‚

I picked up a super gorgeous tea dress on Asos from Oasis which I’ll be popping up on an outfit of the day post very soon ๐Ÿ™‚

I also picked up this lacy black skater dress on Asos from QED London. I do like it but I just don’t know when I’ll get to wear it!

Blogging:

I haven’t done too badly this month with blogging, although I know there are a few posts I need to sit down and write over the next few weeks!!

I received this extremely lovely PR parcel from Pixi Beauty though; containing loads of their Glow products! I can’t wait to try out the serum and the moisturiser stick (mostly because I’ve never used a stick to moisturise my face and I’m intrigued)!!

I also got a parcel full of goodies from JOICO to trial out their newly relaunched hair care products! I’ve used the beach spray so far and absolutely loved it, so I’m looking forward to testing everything else out ๐Ÿ™‚

The “best” of the rest:

As I said at the beginning of the post, the biggest news this month was finding out that J does have sleep apnoea and severely. He generally stops breathing in his sleep over 45 times AN HOUR!! Hearing it like that, it was pretty scary, but two weeks after his diagnosis, the Sleep Disorder Clinic at Queen Victoria Hospital gave him a CPAP machine. This helps to regulate his oxygen flow at night so he doesn’t stop breathing, or if he does, it’s not for long.

We’re still working out the teething issues though as he was given a nasal mask to start, despite him telling the nurse he’s a mouth breather! It led to me freaking out the first night because oxygen was just gushing out of his mouth ๐Ÿ™

He had to go back and get a nasal/mouth mask which is much better butย it’s not very comfortable for him to sleep with it on so he’s been taking it off in his sleep a lot ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ He has a follow-up appointment next month though, so we can ask for tips and advice.

Finally, donโ€™t forget to check out my lovely April advertisers:

Thank you, it’s still really early days yet though, apparently it can take months for patients to start to feel any better xx
